We would like to introduce you to a free field-trip opportunity for your students. Miller Kids is the educational program for Tulsa area youth at The Sherwin Miller Museum of Jewish Art. Designed using a multi-tiered approach, the program is comprised of art workshops, student tours, school curriculum, and the Kinder-Stone Project. The Museum is pleased to offer free hour-long art workshops for schools and community outreach programs. The students will gather a greater understanding of visual art through hands-on, artistic and interactive learning activities, complementing the Museum’s temporary and permanent exhibitions. Some examples of activities are: exhibit inspired scavenger hunts, butterfly making workshop, mask making workshop, exhibit themed workshops, Kinder-Stone Project, and special requested workshops. Miller Kids workshops are offered Monday through Friday from 9:00a.m.-3:00 p.m. Workshops and tours are offered at no charge, and the Museum also has a donor-fund to reimburse transportation costs.
For more information or to make a reservation, please contact Museum Education Coordinator Tracey Herst-Woods at 918-492-1818 or firstname.lastname@example.org. Click here to download the workshop request/reservation form. We look forward to working with more students groups in the upcoming year.
