17th Annual Purim Mask Student Exhibit

This annual student exhibit features Oklahoma K-12 student artwork, depicting the masks of Purim, commemorating the day the Jewish people were saved by Queen Esther of Persia.

Donna Matles, of blessed memory, was a genuine artist. As a respected artist, jewelry designer, wood turner, and conservator of Judaica, she helped launch the Fenster Gallery, which later became The Sherwin Miller Museum of Jewish Art.

Calling all Barbies and Kens! Barbie-mania has hit The SMMJA. This exhibit consists of 25 vintage Barbies and explores the Jewish roots of Barbie and her creator, Ruth Handler, who was born to Jewish immigrants from Poland. But mostly, it's just a fun exhibit!
